P739 (callers office agreement)

In our D.O. all undelivered normal packets/parcels (not SD, tracked or recorded) are put out for re-delivery after 7 days, and again after another 7 days if still no answer. I know this does'nt fit into the agreement, but cannot find anything on this matter ! PLEASE HELP ??

What happens if the customer walks into the callers office when it's out for redelivery?
That will really help the with the whole "customer experience" thing.

Never heard of that happening seems kind of pointless At ours we only redeliver if customer requests it. Sometimes if parcels are on the verge of being sent back we deliver the 739's with REMINDER written on them.

We have 40 - 80 customer requested deliveries per day.

If we delivered everything after day 7 then even more parcels would be left in the depot on a daily basis.

It's only customs that are held for 21 days. Everything else is RTS after 18 days.

All you need to do is look at the procedure on the back of the p379. It says nothing about a redelivery after 7 days. All it will take is one stroppy customer to bring their card in to the callers office to collect an already delivered item, claiming they haven't had it. RM wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

As others have said, on the back of the 739 card is all the information you need. RTS after that time period, if they just can't be arsed to come and collect it in that time period, or for that matter ask for a re-delivery, then do what it says on the card and RTS it. Simples!

No doubt RM will rethink this policy, and as "We Love Parcels", get us to take them back out, waving goodbye to that info on the back of the card!

The only time we do this is on the sunday before christmas. The callers does not open so we don't have that problem, don't see how you could do it on a weekday though. The number of people who say they never got a P739 is worrying though.

No sir., 18 days limit apply for "specals" too except "customes" ... 30 days . No " re-delivery " unles requested ... and thats it .... after that RTS.
