World class mail... what do they do?

I work in a relatively small DO, and hadn't heard about world class mail until the other day in WTL. We got told by our DOM that world class mail will be coming to our office to "tidy up the place" (i thought our cleaner was good enough!), and we are no longer allowed to have personal belongings anywhere in the office, which means footy scarves etc will be taken down from the frames, even out coats arent allowed to hang up to dry!. But apart from the tidying up what else do they do?

I got called in office because I left a elastic band in the world class van if I do it again I will prob get took off driving , in my eyes the world class staff are causing problems annoying the hard working posties , things go full circle & hopefully they won't be around this time next year when the shareholders realise their dividend would be double if all the WCM knobs were sacked

Fold mail bags so that they look nice on a York, and when that's done they sit on the managers lap being stroked like a bond villains cat whilst eating a calzone for being well behaved.

I personally love WCM almost as much as managers. The more dead wood in the company the safer our delivery jobs will be when compulsory redundancy eventually starts. I'd even let them keep their colouring pens.

You aint wrong there.I am staggered by the sheer uselessness of them.All those pointless management types trying desperately to justify their existence by dreaming up more and more stupid unworkable ways of doing things.

Our line manager has just left to work on WCM team. She said it was a 7 year plan for our area. Her job ,once trained, is to implement WCM in to all our D.O. RM really do waste money on s**t.

If he had left a few years ago it probably would have died out but there has been too much money and people (all directors are trained auditors) invested for it to go away now. Higsons replacement has already confirmed that WCM is part of her strategy.
