If a decision had to be carried by 51% of all voters then a lot more effort would be made by every one. I accept the Yes vote trashed the No vote, but even if it was the other way round I still would not accept it when there is not a 51% of voters for an outcome. Sure shoot me down, but take the Scottish referendum vote coming up, both yes and no camps want my vote. I have asked both sides for an answer to my question which is: a large % will not vote, add that to the losing side, then the minority wins. Still waiting for an answer. If we live in a society when the growing trend is for people not to vote, a minority can exploit that and promote that culture to gain power. So what I am saying, are people selling ideas to only the majority of the minority of people who actually vote.

"Sadly it's the way of life" in the past workers did not accept that view and fought for change. I now enjoy a better life than those you fought for change in the past. I have duty to try and follow in their foot steps to give the future generation a better life. Not only are people not voting, many more are not registering to vote, great news for minority groups with funding to get their way.
