Change of start time

Just been told from management that all rural deliveries in our small SPDO are to start 30 mins later from Monday. This is in response to one of our posties not wanting to do overtime or lapsing as his delivery has been tested and is too long. He has been told not to start until 08.45 ( normal time 08.00 ) as his post will be sorted and he can use his full hours on delivery only.. All rural posties are really f...Ed off. Seems like RM don't give a toss about our family commitments like picking kids up from school or how late mail is delivered in rural areas. All this hassle just to get even with a postie who just wants to work his hours. Is this normal practice and is there anything we can do ????

Surely the rest of you will have to start earlier to prep and bag/tray his mail ready for delivery ?

Get your rep to lodge a stage one disagreement asap and insist on the status quo until the disagreement has been fully taken through the IR frame work

1. What are the new start / finish times being imposed on you regarding rural duties ?
2. Have you had a revision ?

Rural duties moving from 08.00 to 08.30
No revision....

First mail arrives in office at 07.45 followed at 08.30 by second lot on lorry
Been told anyone on collections starting at 16.00 can start at 08.00 so they are finished their run in time to start the collections which are on scheduled OT.

Moving one OPG to start 45 mins later than the rest? Is this not victimisation?

Executive Action by the DOMs is now against the LEGALLY BINDING agreement - You MUST get the Union involved whether they like it or not.
