What does a blue light on the top of a PDA and no display signify? That was what I was getting today.

You pushed a couple of buttons by accident, just wait and press the blue button and it goes away.

It tells you the DOM is tracking you via the GPS and timing you. Run round in circles, go into a pub or have a kip in the back of the van.

Its a kind of overload light when normally its been bouncing about in a pouch. If you push the side rubber scan buttons a few times it normally un-locks itself.

Taking out the battery sorted it

First day on the new duties and I have never felt so knackered! Taking the weight off your shoulders (where it never was) and driving you into the ground with this extra never ending walking (HCT). Will anyone get to retirement and still be healthy enough to enjoy it- doubt it!

It has lights? I've never seen lights on my PDA, just a grey screen and the red scanner light thing.

I'm always amazed when on here people talk about receiving texts and calls on it. Do you hold it to your ear and listen? I just scan, it bleeps, and goes back in the bag.

When I log off it sometimes says something about SUS or UnSUS. I just leave it, not been trained.

Yeah when my blue light flashes I get a bleep then a picture of my DOM appears on the screen telling me I've only got half an hour to deliver that special.

All the lights do is wear the battery down quicker. Some backlights don't work so why don't you use lcd?

The blue laser on mine wasn't working at all today, had to manually key in all tracking numbers which was a right pain in the backside and wasted so much time.

Yeah the Hermes HHT''s are not too bad..

Main problem is that screens soon become scratched, mainly due to OAPs thinking they have to engrave their name on it, makes it harder to read when the sunny days come back.

The "upside down " comments get on my wick as well !
