RM Stormcoat Class 2 National - hood too short?

Anybody else find the hood too short on this? Large fits fine in the arms/body, but if I pull the hood over my head it always rides back down. Disappointing as it's a decent jacket otherwise, stays dry and not stupidly heavy like the old model.

I never wear the hood for that reason and because it seriously screws with your peripheral vision when you're trying to cross a road.
It reminds me too much of when I was a kid wearing one of these....



I just wear a hat and keep a spare for when the first hat gets too wet to wear.

Mine fits ok unless im wearing a hoody.

Yeah I find it too small as well. I have to pull the cords tight to keep it on but then it just looks ridiculous. Has RM ever supplied us with kit that is truly fit for purpose?

Mines too small too although it is a size small. Im skinny but I have a big head lol!
Regardless of that the waterproof itself isn't really that water proof...

first thing i do when i get a new jacket either the thin stormproof or the rain jacket is cut the hood off ,, i think it makes the collar too padded out

I'm short and fat and hate the bloody thing. It's too short (yes, even for me being only 5'11") and the hood won't stay up. The collar thing bugs the hell out of me and I've given up on it. I just wear my fleece and get wet, or wear my old storm coat thing which is a little better and a bit longer.

The XL polo shirt comes down to my knees and all the other uniform is crap apart from the trousers which are spot on but only last a couple of months, but that's another matter.

It always just blows off and is completely useless. The old style stormproof had buttons to hold the hood in place, I never understood why RM didn't stick to that.

Waste of time having the hood, doesn't fit me either. I wear a cap when the weather is bad.

Im 6'3 and the large polo is still quite generous in length yet the large stormcoats to short and I could fit two of me inside it its so baggy. Sizing is all over the place

The stormproof was made shorter because people complained that the previous design was too long! Proof if it were needed that you'll never please everybody with a uniform.

ive had 2 different coats now and both leak in the arm stiching, fu cking waste of time, oh the hood ? never use the usless thing, slight bit of wind and down it comes
