Advice after having a baby

Hi, I feel I was treated awfully whilst I was pregnant at Royal Mail and after my baby came along it didnt get any better after I had my baby and split with her father, I tried explaining I needed some adjustments to my hours regarding childcare which me and my boss originally came up with a solution, as soon as I told him I had childcare arranged he made out we had never agreed on anything and I was lying...... Now I no longer work for Royal Mail. Id really like to discuss more about how I was treated whilst pregnant and how I was pushed out. Its taken me a long time to pluck up the courage to do this, they shouldnt get away with how theyve treated me but I just dont know what to do next or if I even have an argument. Any advice would be gratefully received.

You can request the maternity/paternity booklet from HR but there probably is a copy on here. I have always had my time off as soon as the wife was about to give birth without problems. On her side her contract says basically you can take a year off and if you return with in that time they will keep your job open for you. If you want changes you can negotiate but they don't have to offer you a position.
