incentive bonus scheme
Any news/movement on this.
Got to be in place for April.
Maybe it will be based on working above your agreed Bsi
Those who work at a rate most above their office bsi will get a bigger bonus.
Or maybe easier/better to implement would be as above but on a area basis.

Re: incentive bonus scheme
For those that are interested this report by Sriyan de Silva of the International Labour Office is worth a read:
http://www.ilo.org/public/english/dialo ... spaysy.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For any incentive bonus scheme to work (from the employee's perspective as well as the employer's) it needs to satisfy certain basic criteria.
1. It firstly needs to be fair and remunerate staff equally for their effort, there needs to be an agreed standard that staff or groups are measured against and this needs to be applied consistently throughout the business.
2. The level of additional remuneration needs to be sufficient to motivate staff and reward them fairly for the increase in productivity.
3. Bonus or productivity schemes need to be easy to understand, staff need to have a clear idea of what is required of them and what they will receive in return. Bonus groups also need to be small enough to ensure that individuals have control over the results.
4. Payments should be made in a timely manner preferably as soon as is practical after the processing period upon which they are based. The calculations need to be totally transparent, easy to understand and communicated clearly.
5. Once the targets are set and communicated - DON'T MOVE THE GOAL POSTS !!
This list is not definitive and on past track record I do not have much faith in RM's ability to put together a scheme that will satisfy any of the above. It really does take a very carefully thought through scheme to work for any period of time giving both sides what they want.

Re: incentive bonus scheme
No.
But expect to work like a demon, cost yourselves and your work colleagues jobs and OT.
And end up with about £5 for it.
And then we'll be expected to work in the same manner forever, but without the £5.
It's bound to be aimed at reducing hours/saving money, as it always has been.
We just have to agree to screw ourselves over in the process.

Yes, Incentive scheme will mean less overtime payments for those that do it.

Taken from a different thread
GlennoThis attitude is foolish Dingo. You have now highlighted the I'm alright Jack attitude and that we are not a National Union standing together moreover you want people to vote yes to protect this smokescreen of revisions. After the deal and they come for this year's savings I shall tell them where to go first as now will most on here. And if and when an incentive scheme is finalised I want to know we're all benefiting equally not because these mockney units are getting more, if I've taken the pain so as to keep these low figures for you I want the gain when it's divied up. But once again despite your resourcing fudge answer you know these units are slaughtered with absorption, otherwise knowing the area they belong to managers heads would be rolling down the hill especially the planners.

Just imagine if your BSI was, say, as low as 66. Plenty of potential to earn a nice bonus there just by upping your work to somewhere near the level everyone else already does.

Re: incentive bonus scheme
It's difficult to see how any incentive scheme based on absorption could be fair, It's also very difficult to see what Dave Ward means by this...Danelectro wrote:incentive bonus scheme A.K.A. the joy of punching yourself in the face ...but hey its good for business
How exactly will that help?"These incentive payments will also be key to tackling the difficulties our members see in some workplaces."
Surely dangling a carrot for absorption will only mean that those who are now being bullied into doing it by managers can now look forward to some of their colleagues joining in with the bullying if there's money in it for them...
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: incentive bonus scheme
There is very little prospect of an incentive bonus scheme being fair and equitable within RM as things stand. It will no doubt be dressed up to look very professional and given a lot of publicity but you can't paper over the fundamental problems which will exist, control systems that are not fit for purpose and a wide range of processes and performance levels which all have to be taken account of ......whether you base it on BSI, QofS, lapsing/absorption or budget.
