CWUTV spoke to CWU Deputy General Secretary Postal, Dave Ward, during his tour of the country to discuss the proposed negotiators' agreement. The agreement was reached with Royal Mail in December 2013 and now the CWU are campaigning to discuss, and raise awareness of this groundbreaking, landmark deal.

Not only several reminders of it being a "ground-breaking" deal but also a "landmark deal" and "an agreement for the future" yet despite "very extensive protections" and "obviously there are good managers out there" Dave admits that "some people will be a bit sceptical"
- and has anyone else noticed, at about 12 minutes 45 seconds, the interviewer smirking as Dave's comments are presumably so farcical that she can't keep a straight face.

has he answered my questions yet the ones I asked him last Monday ie no deal being put to the members before EVERYTHING IS AGREED and how the deal does not effect him or the executive as we are the ones that have to live with it

well i voted no today. and the rep says the branch are coming on monday to try and sell us the deal. alas however i feel it WILL be voted in because of the money side of the deal is blinding people to the reality of it. after all, as i have said on here many times before, the last pile of garbage was voted in, even though it was for d.o. staff to accept unlimited d2ds and almost 5hr delivery spans. not many of us voted for that, but its a reality.
