The National Federation of Sub Postmasters have admitted that following a lengthy investigation into the Union by the Certification Officer, they have been put under notice that they will lose their Trade Union status.
The NFSP are not expected to defend this decision, the written decision is due out fairly soon.
At a meeting last week the NFSP Chairman of Negotiating informed an audience of stunned members of this news.
This leaves the CWU Postmasters Branch as the only legitimate Union available to represent Postmasters.
A push for formal recognition by the employer will follow in due course.
Well well, their sins have caught up with them at long last.

By speaking to spm it doesn't sound like there has ever been a union with the minimal pay they are receiving .. I think they should strike with pol counter staff ! Something needs to be done soon or the brand will disappear

Well it took a while, but they have finally been exposed, Union masqueraders..... NFSP struck off as a Trade Union as of the 13th January 2014. Certification Officer report will follow in due course.
The damage to Sub Postmasters this organisation has caused is unquantifiable.

Blimey, it goes on a bit. The judgement seems to me to say that the NFSP cannot represent Sub Postmasters as a Trade Union because they are not defined as 'workers'.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:subbie wrote:Well it took a while, but they have finally been exposed, Union masqueraders..... If this is the case, how can the CWU perform such a function?

Re: NFSP Struck off as a Trade Union
Because the CWU "IS" a Trade Union wholly or mainly made up of workers. About 200,000 of them last I looked.
The CO investigation was all about the credentials of the organisation.
