Hi just have a few questions about the new revision that's going on. Out office has just started the process i believe. Bit of background I'm a new starter and just done over 3 months now and like the job. On a 20 hour contract but never done that and easily do 35+ a week.
Now i understand the basics of the revision but no one I speak to seems to have any answers. So thought i would ask on here.
1: How long does the revision take to start?
2: Will there be job losses, as stated im always working overtime so office is clearly under staffed as it is.
3: I'm not the newest in the office but only 3 others have started after me. Will my contact get renewed in mid April.
4: Did here a rumour that they thing a lot of the old timers will either retire or drop hours due to the change. Has this happened in other offices.
Cheers in advance and if anyone has anything else to add feel free. As i said i really have no clue what's going on and what to expect.

1. No set pace but the Union will try to get it right hopefully, whilst the managers will try to rush it in as they believe the figures are correct.
2. Possibly but as RM have an agreement that the overarching objective is no compulsory redundancies, and there are usually plenty of volunteers anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about it in your case.
3. We can't say for certain obviously as each unit is different, but I have yet to hear of anyone wanting to stay on being let go after a revision. Even Temporary staff.

Hi our revision has just restarted after being postponed before christmas as the manager had not done the paperwork. Got to the office this morning and we have got new sorting frames with no explanation. Half of the office have had a hour and half talk about the revision,but he keeps putting off the rest of us.Is this normal.that things are being done behind our backs with no involvment of the staff?
