Walk sequence mail arrival time changed?

Hi, in our office our walk sequence mail has started to arrive later, since mid-November it's been arriving about 1 hour later than the usual time. Our office manager says it because they use the machine in a different order now? Is this a common thing in other D.O's? ty

Our last mech trays started coming in later as well a few months ago,the runners weren't happy

It depends on the mail centre’s plan as to what time your walk-sequenced mail is run.
Initially there was talk about the further away from the mail centre you were the earlier your mail was run in the plan. (I don’t know if this still holds sway.)

I would guess that other offices in your area have now started receiving their mech walk-sequenced
and your place in the mail centre’s plan for running your walks mail through the CSS machines has gone back.


Ours was one of the earlier offices to get walk-sequenced mail in our area but as other offices underwent the revision process our time was brought forward by an hour. Our start and finish times were also revised. I guess we were one of the lucky ones, in that respect.

The runners thought it was great when DP sequenced mail came in, too daft to realise that very soon we would be given extra work for the time saved.
