Footwear rationing one pair every 6 months

How can RM ration footwear to one pair per 6 months
My Croc trainers last 4 months max
Some posties work 6 days whilst others 4 on delivery
Some posties are 15 stone whilst others 6 stone
Makes you wonder who makes up these rules

you should be able to renew footwear as often as necessary for safety purposes.In my old office you needed to get a manager to do it for you but was never a problem.

My DMs only last about two or three months before the tread wears out. They have to replace your footwear no matter how long you've had them, 'elf and safety innit!

They dont, what they do is they only let you order 2 pairs per year and if you need more than that you need to get your manager to authorise it, i personally think the limit should be 3 or 4, the limits there to stop people taking the p and ordering a new pair every week

They would never stop you ordering new shoes as imagine the claim you could make if they refused to replace worn shoes you slip up & damage yourself , where there's blame there's a claim £££££££

3 pairs of Cat trainers would be no good, i'd spend months with no tread.

I just show my manager the shoes and ask him to order more, and he does. My current pair have lasted 2 months and I have more on order.

There is no actual limit as has already been said you're allowed to order 2 pairs a year without a managers authorisation but any more than that need to authorised by a manager. It's to stop people ordering a pair every week for family and friends which would happen because some people take the pi**. My Magnum shoes wear out after 3 months at the most, I just show the worn out soles to the line manager and get another pair ordered. It shouldn't be a problem at all because it's a health and safety issue.

My YDS trainers I got as a trial last March are still going strong and amazingly are still 100% waterproof! I have never had a better pair of footwear in my life. I hope they roll these out soon.

I was refused a pair when I ordered online at the beginning of December even though it was 6 months since ordering the previous pair. I emailed them back informing them there was no tread left on either shoe and that I kept slipping over. Get's into work this morning to a brand new pair of Magnum boots on my frame.

Doc Martens...after a few wears, rub in lots of dubbin, and polish. Bit stiff and unforgiving at first, but...they do wear in.
Good grip in the wet, and very supportvie around the ankle.
