Been in job 6 weeks now on a 35 hour week contract and on Monday I have been asked to cover a full timer who is on leave. That walk has the old box frame so no doubt will be a nightmare but what I want to know is will I still have to do d2d's?

There is a circular argument that is played out on here time and again.
"We no longer get paid to deliver d2d"
"We do! We get a payment every week that was introduced when the payment per d2d ended"
"That payment is not for delivering d2d, we don't get paid for that any more"
"Oh yes it is......"
Etc etc

You get the cash whether there's d2d that week or not. Take the cash and hope these bastards don't stop paying it is the shortish answer.

35hrs for a new starter is quite high compared to here, most are lucky to get 24 for the past 3 years
anyway, on your hours i'd be expected to prep the lot, dunno what you're used to doing

So far i've only prepped a frame with all door numbers on it so on the box frame it's double handling that's why I asked about the d2d's.

All I can say is that you should be doing d2ds if on 35 hours*.

Your question almost sounded like you think you should not be doing D2Ds. Other than that, just ask the manager or the people that know the duty what gets done and what does not.

* 30 hours contract do all the prepping plus D2Ds in our office.

That's more of a box C frame. I bet its a flat 48 box frame.

Not seem one used for walks in years and even then it was for firms. Double handling and would be a nightmare these days. My round has got 7 d2d's next week. Imagine that

Are you sure you are meant to be prepping door to doors? I know is differs office to office, even duty to duty, but in my office part timers get their duties prepped, including door to doors. (It doesn't always happen but that's another story).

Also, you don't get paid for door to doors.

I don't have a problem with d2d's but when you are faced with a round I don't know in an area I don't know and the old fashioned box frame which causes so much double handling it's a nightmare and that's exactly how it played out today. The box frame above is modern to the one I was faced with today and it's very difficult to deal with d2d's unless you carry them around with you separately in another bag,
