The only chance real trade unionists have to stop the worst agreement in trade union history is to resign before it gets voted in. If this comes in, all reps will be unofficial managers and members will be paying £150 a year to be spied on. Collaborator reps are used to gather intelligence.

Could you expand on the reasons you believe this, it would help fence sitters like me to come to a decision.

I would hope I am nearer the truth as I am not sure I am cut out to be a spy as I seemed to leak to much on here to those some would say are the enemy !!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

That sort of "close the debate down" mentality has nothing to do with trade unionism and everything to do with silly little men-boys and their silly little social clubs.

It was a joke calm down. You know most other senior reps don't come on here and try to convince I. Don't either but for me I enjoy the debate and on a more serious note I do believe the union should communicate better when in negotiations and not leave the members in the dark as only the employer gets stronger in those circumstances.

If they get any stronger we'd be as well paying our subs to Royal Mail - now there's a novel idea, we already do and they pass them on to the CWU - now why not let RM keep them and cut out all the chattering just to end up with what was offered in the first place. Now my premise on the actions of the CWU is are they concerned about the future of the members who pay excellent salaries and perks OR is their primary motivation the continuance and well being of the CWU :hmmmm
