IHR questions

Hi could anyone tell me what the process of IHR is. If you cannot do the dutie your meant to do can you be redeployed and if so do you have to take this redeployment if offered it or can you turn it down and take the IHR straight away.

I would have thought if they have offered something suitable for you and not to far away you would have to do it

There is no single definitive answer. You can appeal a reasonable adjustment and you can appeal IHR but there is a process check out the link above and get guidance from a H&S Area Rep would be my suggestion.

Also is lump sum calculated on top line before tax or coming out with wage?

Ive been told the IHR lump sum is tax free. Then you will have wages owed, any hours, accrued holidays and any outstanding holidays owed. These are obviously not tax free though. ATOS will send a report to RM. They will say if you meet the criteria for IHR. That is no return to work in the forseeable future, and mods to your duties are not suitable. Im sure others will add to this info. Good luck mate.

Does sick absence length effect IHR lump sum in anyway? Someone mentioned this.

What is the going rate now for IHR. Is it still the usual 30something weeks +hols+Pay in lieu of notice(pilon) or have they changed it to much smaller amount.

Lump sum is 34 weeks pay tax free.
