Can my DOM change my day off for a face to face atos meeting

Just wondering
I have an appontment at my local ATOS place in a couple of weeks
for a work place style assessment this could take up to 3.5 hours
according to the letter.

Now as this has been instigated by Royal Mail.
Are they allowed to move my normal day off to cover this ?
As this seems to be the norm if i have had an hospital appointment etc.

Or am i within my rights to get Royal mail to cover this
as it`s on their say so i go to the meeting ?

any advice would be most grateful

I'm not sure if I understand fully.

Are you saying that they have adjusted the resourcing in order that your assessment is now due on your day off; or have they provided you with an alternative day off in order that they can fit you in to an appointment scheduled for when you weren't available.

You should be the person who agrees arrangements with the Occupational Health Services, not your Manager.

I shall try explain a bit better

as of yet they have not changed the days off ie My day off is Tuesday, appointment is on a Thursday.
Each time i have given them an appointment from say hospital/doctors etc they have changed the day off to suit the appointment.
i could say reasonable adjustments as i have presented them with appointments.

Now i fully expect to look at the relevant work rota for the following week and see the day off adjusted (maybe i am been sceptical but i fear not)
The date i was given by ATOS was the first available date.
As i say the appointment was initiated by Royal mail following a telephone assessement with ATOS

Is this assessment being held at your normal place of work (office) or a occupational health centre

It's a work matter so should be held at work time. When you see your doctor it's not arranged by Atos, or RM so would generally be held in your time.

I think the DOM is being a typical DOM

You should be paid OT if this is your day off plus travel expenses.
You get paid from you leave your house till you get back plus any expenses incurred.
See your rep and make your DOM knows your claiming this.
If it was a work day you would still get travel expenses.

If your Manager with knowledge of your appointment resources your day off to fall on that day, then you are entitled to be paid or preferably to refuse to go. In either case you should use the grievance procedure.

rest dat means rest day so you would then not be able to go to the appointment as it would be you rest day plus just tell him last minute

Sorry for jumping on this thread. I too have a face to face meeting with atos and on ssp atm. Should i get travel expenses as travel will be about £30?
If so who do i contact?

Its part of work so arrange it on work time. If u have no choice but to go on your rest day they have to pay you overtime

Tried it with me once, They send an appointment through and conveniently it was on my day off, so I cancelled it, and the next one and the next, I Informed my DOM I was not going to an appointment 'they' wanted me to go to on my day off, surprisingly the next one was on a work day.

Hi, So what about if i have a appointment to go hospital because off a injury i sustained during my duty? I have been in the office doing light dutys for the duration, do i get my day off as well? thanks
