xmas tips in 18 years of the job and approx 5 years on the same duty,i think this year customers have thought weve got enough with our free shares,ended up with £108 a few biscuits wine etc out of my amount I got £20 and a few tenners,i can think of plenty of customers who gave last year and not bothered this year,never mind, happy new year folks.

My tips, and those of my colleagues, are well down this year.
Might it be that everyone out there thinks that as shareholders now we're well enough off not to need their generosity ? I blame Moya.

Treated my postman which was the least he deserved,unfortunately we live in a time of Me,Myself and I, therefore the spirit and ethos of community is unfortunately not so prevalent as once was.

Not the same for me I am up nearly 100% on my tips and still didn't make £50 even though I have done nearly 8 years on this duty. I even found getting a £1 of an older resident especially gratifying.

Got £40. Slightly down on last year. Never expect tips from anybody and don't hold it against those who don't. Always very grateful to those who do, but I certainly don't offer an inferior service to non tippers. Thats just childish.

I go to work for the wages to pay my bills, not for tips. But considering I got close to £1500 quid this year and a couple of luxury hampers, I'm not gunna complain.

I've been on the same delivery for 6 months and got nothing. Not a bean. Oh well

Been covering a semi-rural duty since May and got £105, a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates. My fourth Xmas with RM and this was the first time I got ANYTHING at all so very pleased. Of course, everything was from the over-sixties (as expected) but nothing from any of the ones I normally do the bit extra for....in fact everything came from those that receive very little mail, no packets and very rarely see me!

i got £10 in total this time but to be fair i have been on this walk for only 6 months and i never expect tips so the 10 was very appreciated!

last year own delivery 350 calls, over £400 chocs and a couple of bottles ,this year park and loop 1200 calls £30 split with partner , good time NOT , STILL EVERY ONE WANTED THERE PARCELS DELIVERED to a neighbour to save them a 8 mile trip to collect them , do they not understand cause and effect, they will this year

Precisely my thinking. I got £% from somebody I've never delivered a parcel to. So everybody else is getting the little red card and a trip[ to the office. Just wait until the first one asks me why they aren't having their parcel dropped at a neighours or in a bin etc.!
