Im on a 25hr contract and my manager told me I need to work this over 4 days. Im always put down for 5 days a week with a rotating day off. Ive been in the company for 4 months alongside 3 others who are also on 25hr 4 day contracts but work 5 days (32hrs at least) and we dont see why the company/manager has the choice to decide we have to work one of our days off. We are regualrly doing 35+hrs but we only get part time delivery suppliment allowance, xmas bonus, holidays etc etc but basically working full time hours.
I cant find anything in the contract that says the 25hrs is over 4 days but its what our manager told us and there is a list of contracted hrs on a timetable board and it clearly says 25hr contracted people work 6.15hrs a day (which is 4 days).
I have rounded the other newbies up and we are thinking of seeing our rep but I dont want to feel as we are 'rocking the boat' as we are newbies and want to keep our jobs but we also feel as though we shouldnt be used in this way.
I would like any advise on whether it is a good idea to see our rep and will something will be done and should it effect our employment in the future (any contract renewals...)

Re: Newbie quierying my work days with my rep/manager.
this is the second or third thread youve started in the matter, what did your office rep say when you asked them about the matter?
also your overtime rate of pay up to 39 hours includes an increased amount of the delivery supplement so you are not losing out on that, the XMAS bonus thing varies from office to office, in ours all part timers hours are increased contractually for the month of december and dropped down in january, thus getting the full xmas bonus

Re: Newbie quierying my work days with my rep/manager.
Because it hasnt been fully answered. Ok the xmas/delivery pay has been cleared up but our point it we are contracted to work 25hrs over 4 days but we are put down to work 5 as we are leave reserves and cover holidays (people who are generally off for a week) so we are on that duty for 5 days when we are supposidly supposed to work 4. Sometimes I do.fancy taking that extra day off .
I just wanted advise from maybe a rep if its worth us mentioning, will anything be done and would it jeapodise.our temp contracts. After all we should all be treated the same, right?
We havent seen the rep yet. Wanted advise if its worth doing.
