Sore feet

Does anybody suffer with sore feet ? The bottom of my feet get very sore

17+ years pounding the streets. My knees hurt, my Achilles tendons hurt, my feet hurt, my back hurts. Sore feet are part and parcel of the job. It wouldn't be so bad if the footwear was durable and comfortable and not crap.

Feet dont get sore, but very hot and ache like mad towards the end of the week. Bottom of the back is my problem and now looks like bike is going within next couple of months. My end of delivery is nigh.

When your Dad and Uncle did it walking/delivery jobs weren't nearly as heavy or long they are now

In answer to the first question... which part of you feet ???

At 47 I often ache all over after a delivery and certainly have to have a lie down most days. Good footwear and clean (good) socks help as does regular washing of feet. I regularly use talcum powder on feet and elswhere when I occassionally get nappy rash It certainly helps. Merry Christmas.

I didn't get sore feet pre-Park and Loop. I get sore feet everyday in this job now, along with various other sore parts.

Keep to a steady pace and keeping to your time will help. It was my day off today and I had to pass the office on my way to the shops. When I drove past at 11.30am, 3 of the managers came out to head home. They weren't working past their time with sore feet !?

Everything from my knees downwards is just PAIN!

One thing I've found seems to help with sore feet is to vary my footwear through-out the week rather than wearing the same shoes everyday.. I alternate between my Cat boots-Cat trainers-Own trainers and somehow my feet don't seem to be so sore?!

You should buy yourself several pairs of "thousand mile socks", they are guaranteed to leave your feet blister free, as an insulin dependent diabetic, I monitor my feet very,very,carefully and these socks are brilliant. The only downside is they are £10 a pair, but your feet are important tools for your trade and must be treated as such. Try E-bay or military clothing stores for stockists. Decent footwear helps as well though.

My feet, well my right foot mostly, have hurt for a about a year now and I have been on delivery for twenty five years. The thing that I found that has helped a lot is a change in foot wear. I was wearing the Cat trainers and getting new ones issued about every six weeks. I now wear DM Boots, took a bit of breaking in but my feet feel so much better.

my feet dont hurt that much now a days but i have about a 1cm of hardskin on heels and toes that i am constantly trying to cut off. the guy i work with has a marchers fracture in his foot probably quite common in royal mail
