Talking with a fellow postie today and he said it's all going to kick off in the new year regarding Prep and IPS rates...In this new agreement is their any mention of change... Or is it still the same old rates? Can anyone shed any light on this thanks

Well they are bringing in absorption to my office in January because we MAY have enough time as figures show but on the other hand if my watch shows on busy days we have not got enough time then its coming BACK so two can play that game!!!

I am sure that I have read that Royal Mail wanted to impose individual indoor rates but these were rejected by the CWU. Can someone confirm?

No it's not.
It's the thousands in delivery who will vote yes or not vote at all.
This agreement will be voted in and at a guess it will be a very high majority on a comparatively low turnout.

115,000 members in Royal Mail are eligible to vote on this deal and over 100,000 are in deliveries - if we are turned over by acceptig this deal we would have done it to ourselves like BT2010.

With well over 100,000 members working in this part of the Royal mail business, it remains the single largest group of members within the CWU.

It,s a no brainer. Backdated pay during beginning of February for nearly a whole year. nearly £600 for full timers. Will help pay off the Christmas Credit Card. Lambs to the slaughter and the CWU will not even have to mount much of a campaign.
