Xmas week?

Wonder if you can advise:
I'm on a 6 month initial contract at 20 hours a week - 4 hours per day over 5 days.

My question is what am I expected to work next week as Xmas day and boxing day are wed and thur, as these are bank holidays are they classed as two of my working days (4 hours each) and therefore I just need to do an additional 3 days to hit my 20 hours?

It will depend on what your day off is on that week. If it is Mon, Tues, Fri or Sat you will only work 3 days but be paid for your full hours. If your day off is Wed or Thurs, you will work 4 days, still being paid your full hours, but you will also get a day off in lieu (an extra day off which you can book like an extra days holiday).

The bottom line is you will have Wed and Thurs off regardless and still get paid for a full week.
