Reserve posties being skanked.

There are 4 reserve posties at our DO including me all on 25hr contracts. Now our assistant dom told me it is spread over 4 days at 6hrs 15mins a day. I know its a busy time of year but we have been rotared for 5 days over 5 hrs as we dont have a walking duty in.December so we have to deliver parcels. If they are allowed to do this then fair enough but we feel a bit peed off having our daily hrs changed to work more days over xmas. None of the regular posties would stand for it.
Second point we are rotared down to work everyday next week apart from xmas and boxing day. Are we not entitled to regular day off next week? I thought xmas day and boxing day was a holiday rest day not part of my day off as well?

If they put your rest day on the bank holiday ie Boxing Day you will have a day in leu

i was a reserve for about 10 years ,, back on my own round again ,, i got shafted like that every year ,, now this year my day off is wed next week ,, crimbo day and the next week its the 2nd ,, im in scotland so we get that off as well still 2 days in lieu

The cant change your attendance pattern without either:
1 getting you to agree to it or
2 forcing you to do it by executive action,

if you have been forced to change and are not happy get your REP to put in a disagreement about it

this is a usual DOM trick, allocate your day off next week to the bank holiday, its a bit naughty, you could insist on the correct day off for whatever duty you are covering for if not make sure your day in lieu is added to your holiday allocation

You could ask to be paid for them instead.
