If they ask for a rough estimate give them a rough estimate,if they are asking you to sign for it before you've worked it report them to your branch,if they ever stop you from adjusting it upwards if you've worked more than you thought you would report it to your branch and tell them to poke their overtime.

Only sign for what you've actually worked,once you've actually worked it.Don't take the piss or you could be taking home a P45.

same out are do, no-one payed protracted last week as dom/phg says we finish early most of the year! no people are cutting off, if you are going to claim you have 2 tell them how much before u go out?! i said dunno how long is a bit of string so i guessed 1 and half hrs but it took 2 now he says too late i put you in for 1 and a half what a pratt so i have said i will be cutting off so he is now panicking , the problem is they do not seem to care about staff just keep telling people who claim we are too slow!

The planner has made a right cock up of some of the walks in our office, between the two of us we have 1300 delivery points, both our walks have an horrendous amount of small packets that won`t fit the letterboxes, steep hills and long drives with fiddly gates, we are finding it almost impossible to clear on any day , only problem is he`s made others too small, they are clearing with ease, this is being used by the DOM to bully and intimidate the ones who are struggling, we are being told we are too slow and that we are not doing the job right. If the DOM actually asked how much overtime we were going to book that day it would come as a breath of fresh air to us!...

You get what you give, we have decent managers who do ask for an estimate but are grateful for the fact that we are busting a gut to deliver. We get a thankyou for completing and support if we are having difficulties as long as we keep them up to date. Bear in mind that these guys are having to deal with Sector and area managers who are chewing their arses over budgets and we don't get that. It seems that the right approach to the problem of overtime solves it - the wrong approach causes a bigger one.
