Unpaid overtime??

Does everyone always get paid overtime correctly every week?
We always have loads that are a few hours down but last week a few people were over 10 hours unpaid!

Been happening at our place constantly for the last few years rare that a week goes by when everyone is paid correctly.

you usually get the "old chestnut" of must have missed it off the list.
I think that if they miss 5 peoples OT off they are hoping one of them might not notice.
Another dodge the DOM's get up to is when you finish 20-30 minutes later than finishing time and they go on about longs and shorts but these days they are never any shorts.
If you cut off with 3 bundles left they moan and say "you are taking the pish" but then if you go over by 20-30 mins they don't want to pay, times that by 10 or so and they are saving a few hours.
Can you add all the 20 mins up and book it on a Saturday?
know wonder they don't want clocking in and out cards

this is going to be a surprise ,, i checked my payslip last thursday ,, i was actually overpaid ,, apparently i had worked 9.5 hours on a saturday (my day off) no chance that would ever happen ,, it was like animal house a devil on one shoulder an angel on the other ,, i went and told the manager so wait and see what happens this week

best thing to do is keep a record of when you sign in and out each day. even the dom cannot dispute that as it is a legal document. but some will try. I think they have to keep the signing in sheets for a few years for legal reasons, seven I think but I may be wrong.

the reason could have something to do with the staff who put the o/t through the system are in the main failed postpersons and not office staff at all with no qualifications for the type of work they do in my opinion thats why wages are a hit and miss affair there should be fully qualified staff for such an important post.

We've not had signing on sheets for months since they ran out. DOM was told but no more have been forthcoming......bothered? Naa

see your h+s rep as signing on sheets are also used for a roll call in case of fire, so the company and fire service know if poeple are still in the building this needs sorting out ASAP
