so we have these wonderful mech trays that come in every morning full of walksorted mail.

however all the envelopes are either white or brown.

so with all this money that was spent on the sorting machines why can't they read off red, blue, green envelopes etc!!!

millions and millions spent on a colour blind computer system!!

Do you know of any that can? All the mail handling companies I know specify that dark coloured envelopes cannot be machine read.

Do you know of any that can? All the mail handling companies I know specify that dark coloured envelopes cannot be machine read.

Millions of red (this year's predominant colour) etc Xmas cards get processed OK, as do orange, brown and just about any other colour the designers seem to come up with in the rest of the year. Poorly printed CBC codes are a bigger problem.
