if your in delivery the inner London rate including the supplement the weekly wage is £488.38 and if the national agreement is accepted by the members then it will rise from April 2015 to £532.62

For outer London the rate is £462.94 and by the end of the pay deal it will be £504.87

London had their RRIS payments £13.87 for inner and £16.31 for outer consolidated into their basic pay in 2003.

I wouldn't live in London for twice that amount,give me the beautiful countryside anyday,I'm lucky enough to live near one of our national parks.

Having lived in London I can see why they get an extra allowance, one things for sure they would not be able to retain posties on the national wage in the smoke, and commuting from outside London would be a nightmare. At least with other similarly expensive towns/cities the travel time is usually shorter and easier. But even if they offered me double the wage I get now - I would refuse to move.

well i lived and worked as postman in london and scotland and would go back to london if only i could get back.
