I don't know about others but I already go at a speed now that I'd struggle to improve on. It's amazing when out with family or friends they moan at how fast I'm walking and that's normal to me. Worried that incentive scheme may cause more people to cut corners and take risks leading too more sickness and fatigue issues.

I think they should remove the Dom's Bonus and make it an Office Bonus instead, that way we would all benefit from working as efficiently as possible.

The slower ones among us may get a little grief from the runners but I have found that the "older" slower lads don't care less anyway and have grown extremely thick skins over the years. Also how the Doms bonus is calculated should be published so that we know exactly why they are insisting we don't book docket or cut off, don't report the little mishap on delivery etc.

Transparency is the key word I would like to see. My office never sees any bonus payments even though we clear everything every day even through Christmas. All the old "bonus schemes" never paid out for us ever, so clear targets that are set at reasonable levels should be displayed and reports updated to show how the office is doing would be great.

Will we have a choice? I'm totally against productivity related incentive schemes, we've seen them in the past - the latest being the colleague share and now the union are suggesting yet another scheme without any terms of reference or reward.

As in the old drugs warning - "JUST SAY NO".

Absolutely spot on, this is one financial part of the deal that delivery staff should just forget about getting anything out of.
