Same time every year

It amazes me that Xmas occurs at the same time every year, but our office is still in chaos when it hits. Why o' why are we never ready for the onslaught. Its just panic and reactive solutions when the lorries are unloaded at the office. In the real industrial world outside Royal mail there are proactive plans which have been discussed, probably back in the Summer, and put in place for just such an event. The learning from the previous year/s is taken on-board, (what went well, what didn't go well) is revised for the following year. It just seems that Xmas just creeps up on us and surprises our management; I don't know why 'cause its in all the papers. World Class, don't make me laugh.

The hopeless management and senior executives that this crappy company has, small wonder that Christmas has now become such a disorganised mess at Royal Mail.
The way this company treats customers packages and mail, is nothing short of being a monumental disgrace.
So, so very different from when I first joined.

Well it's ever been the same, except in the old days we made loads a money with SA overtime, now it's a question of how cheaply they can do it for, Scrooge is not dead but dressed as a woman and running Royal Mail.

Bullying tactics used this Xmas , dim walking round office ,watching standing behind you at you're frame ,no talking ,no eating , certain wording used to try make you go over you're time. Doesn't bother me bin here long enough ,I find there behaviour embarrassing , but some of the guys find it intimidating and feel they have to finish til the end ,some days 5 pm etc. Worst Xmas so far in history in our office .

Some of our guys are out til 5 normally, what they are doing now is cutting off even though they're allowed out earlier.

we cut off ips this morning at 8.30am so we had a chance of finishing on time.Line manager left 3 yorks of mail off all xmas cards mostly 1st class.If only the public knew what was going on.

Find it funny watching a lot of posties running around so they can get there rounds done. Even got one who puts his full trolley in back off small van so manager can drop him to delivery
Just take my time have a break and decide if to claim some hours today or work to my time.
