annual leave after boxing day.

I have booked the 2 days off after boxing day but my manager has now said that at the moment RM policy at the moment is that no leave can be booked on those days. is this national, regional or local policy. also, will this also apply to managers including the top bosses. we have always been allowed to book the days off after boxing day every other previous day. what is different this year?

its a local policy, our office still gives annual leave that week albeit with one less space to give extra capacity for sorting the stuff thats been held back

how can we fight this in our local office. what precedence can we use to force them to give us our annual leave.

Oh and another thing is has the leave been granted and now they are saying you can't have it.If that's the case tell them to stick it say you are going away as im aware no leave to be granted upto xmas eve after that we are allowed to book the day after boxing day onwards but the first week there is a slight reduction in how many people can have time off.i think its just gonna be a case of having some balls and tell them to do one.

same thing as me had all week booked and granted then told a week ago i couldnt have the monday and tuesday good job for them im not actually going away otherwise they would have been told to go where the sun dont shine at the end of the day holiday granted Doms fault not mine.

national agreement unless you have a stupid rep who has agreed locally but if you have been granted leave then im pretty sure they have to honour it.Otherwise they could cancel leave when ever they were short staffed.

One of our managers is off on leave this week, when no one else is allowed to due to Christmas pressure.

If you have booked your leave then it's booked. He can not just change it if he feels like it.
You would have booked this ages ago, why now has he suddenly decided to bring this up?
Just tell him straight, your off it was booked you have plans, if he has a problem to see you when you come back.
Our office is blanked out for hols from the 9/12 till 24/12 as it is every year, but after that is ok.
