and how infuriating that is, as a part timer (30 hour contract) for the last 3 years, my round has about 150 more delivery points than all the full time rounds and my d2d payment is pro rata ...diabolical

How infuriating is it when people call the Delivery Supplement a D2D bonus - also how annoying is it when they don't recognise its not for delivering D2Ds but for working in the delivery function so is based on hours rather than volume. But more amazing than that is why they don't see that being paid for the number of deliveries is one step away from piece rate deliveries or possible franchisement, or even being paid 50p per parcel like our competitors, or even worse getting paid different rates during the day dependant on what you are actually doing

Sholud packet drivers be paid less than firms drivers because they deliver less actual mail. Should someone on a leafy suburb delivery be paid less than someone who delivers to a council estate. Should IPS be paid less than prepping a delivery.

More importantly would we trust management to get the hours and work type correct enough for us to be paid what we are due.

If your 30 hour contract includes prepping your delivery and d2ds yourself then you are perfectly entitled to cut off if you don't want to work past your finishing time!
