In fairness that's just basic advice which we all should do anyway.

The deliver to neighbour bit is a pain for detached houses but I always give it go if I think they might be in. If not I bring it back.

I think its less than that in Georoute. Something like 2.5 secs to get the mail through the door.

As a driver you tend to go to the same houses with packets all the time ( I know Xmas is different )
You get to know who will normally be in or out
Weather you can leave at a neighbours
Or even if they get on with the neighbours

The regulator agreed this after our last revision in my office, we haven't had a revision since so time hasn't been allocated in my duty to go to a neighbours house with a packet if the recipient isn't in.

What happens If you deliver it to neighbour and they steal the parcel, is it our fault?

In WTL tuesday we got told that we need to reduce the amount of p739s going through letterboxes as apparently mgmt are not happy about it. Apparently they are now "counting them" (f**k knows how) and telling us we are using far too many.

If we love parcels so much, then why has the official amount of time given to deliver them been reduced?! Our DOM said it was now 58 seconds as of last week. In fairness to him, he said he had no idea how that was supposed to be compatible with leaving it with a neighbour. Bugger that, unless they're tippers

neighbours soon get pissed off with us keep tapping them up to take parcels as its always the same people who are in during the day.
Now stopped doing it after the abuse.
They don't want us bringing back docketed parcels because they haven't got the storage to keep them
