just quick question folks my dom said you cant cut off as your expected to go over at xmas i said does it say that in my contract cos i cant see it

this is what happened he took 2 loops of me and bought half a loop back and 6 pkts
we on van share parcels were also took my finish time was 2.10 and i tried ringing office to let them now on mobile and office number and couldnt get thru

he said he could have me for wilfull delay if he wanted to so will see what tomorrow brings as was me day off today

should i put something in writing STATING that i will not work over my finishing time ever so please dont expect me to what do you think because i dont wanna work past my time

You do not have to work a minute over your time. Fact.
Get in touch with your union rep ASAP for backing. Unfortunately if he is anything like mine you won't have much joy. He is more of a nodding dog with the management & just covers his own back. You just have to stick to your guns.
I have been in the job for over 20 years & have seen it all. I now get pressured into working over & intimidated if I don't do it. Your boss will probably say its a performance issue with you but take it from me it happens up and down the country.
The job I loved now depresses me, it's like a Chinese sweat shop.

you dont have to work over your time tell your DOM before you go out that you will be over your time and your cutting off stand your ground as i would think they will try and bully you into it if you still have problems go and see your unit rep

Your DOM can expect you to go work over your time at Christmas that's absolutely fine. Unfortunately for him, what he expects and what you have to do are two different things!

You only have to work your contracted hours and nothing more. Make sure you tell him there is a chance you will be cutting off before you leave the office. Work to your time and bring back what you can't deliver it's his problem. Just cover your back by telling him before hand!

Yes because you are your own H&S manager and any decision you make should be backed up by your manager.

The only over time that is compulsory is SA and they don't give that out these days as it is contractual over time so they can do one for all I care!

had another run in with manager lol he said you cut off every day and today is a sat i said im only working my contracted hours end of he says before you threw a letter off you say your cutting off i said will you stop harrasing me and bloke in callers says he gunna have me in the office on monday and yes i did cut off only for my partner to take it back out he said you didnt have an excuse today like who the f**k his he lol i said im up to me time even ten min over i seriously need to get a transfer out of that office as 95% are up the managers arse
