Holiday Entitlement

Post by butters1982 »

I'm a new starter on a 5 day 30 hour week contract.
How many days entitlement am I due for the year?

I started on November 25th so how much would I be entitled to until March 31st.
Thank you

I have a 32 hour contract but I am working 1h30 overtime everyday to bring it up to full time hours. The union rep is trying to get me a full time hours contract as even though I am being paid for the hours I am working, I do not get the extra benefits e.g. full holiday entitlement, as the hol hours are pro rata on my contracted hours only  . I think this is highly unfair and feel like I am being conned out of holiday and other benefits because of the contract they have given me.

So make sure you know your entitlement and speak to the union rep if unsure of anything manager has told you. That's what I am doing!

My contract states 4 weeks and 2 1/2 days per annum so 22 1/2 days a year so would have done over 4 1/2 months from end of November - March so defo 7.5 days
