Starting work as a Postman/Driving

I will be starting work as a Postman/Driver mid of december.

Appreciate a lot if anyone can give me some advice and tips on how to be successful in this job role.
What to do and what not to do aprt from the stuff that will be told in the induction date. I assume many have varied experience/situations faced when carrying out this work.

So, Sanjayrocks, you're very lucky to be starting at this time of year.

You will get to LOVE PARCELS as much as we do, only much quicker and lots more of them

Postman - with occasional driving....that was how I was taken on.....nearly 2 years in and have only sat in a van to do the 3.5 hour driving test

The job is as good or as bad as you want it to be. Give yourself time to settle in. People will start to get used to you and vice versa. Take your time and get used to the relentless toll on your body. The first few weeks are the worst. You are starting at the busiest time of the year. Good Luck.

make sure you are steady on the bike we had a guy start this week fell off his bike the first day within 50 yards of the office and fractured his elbow
