I got told by my manager that I am not allowed to wear my CAT shoes after 1st October ** as it was company policy . I asked for a copy of this policy but so far they haven't been forthcoming with it!
They even filled out a TWWTP form over the matter
Is there a period of time where we're not allowed to wear CAT shoes, and if there is is there anything in writing to say this??
**(Obviously when the weather is really bad or snowy/icy I wear my CAT boots)

they are still part of your official work uniform, as long as you are wearing that they can't tell you what to wear.
my dom earlier this year told me to wear trousers instead of short cos it was cold and snowing, I told him I was still wearing the uniform they provided and walked away, did'nt hear anything else about it cos he knew I was right.
The specifications for the Cat Trainers states that they are not suitable for wet weather,they are to be replaced by the Anvil Blacktail Waterproof Trainer and the YDS Hermes (Gore) Trainer.

Fishtank the company has just ordered over 8000 pairs of CAT trainers to fill back orders.
No more will be ordered.
Both replacement styles ,trialled, were deemed superior.
One should be available now; the other design is having some minor alterations finalised
and will be available in the New Year.

Does that mean it constantly rains from 1st Oct onwards!!
It states that they're not suitable for wet conditions, does that forbid us to wear them when its raining? What happens if it starts raining after we've started delivery??
Is there any truth in the 'RM policy' stating you can't wear CAT shoes after Oct 1st?

Christ I'm still wearing shorts, surprised I haven't been bollocked for that. Only the public doesn't seem to comprehend that when walking and working you don't notice the cold, and seem baffled that unlike them you are acclimatized to it rather than darting out in full winter gear to cash their giro and pick up some Carlsberg Special Brew and White Lightning.
I had one of these new pairs of trainers. Sort of grey colour. After about 2 days I couldn't walk. Far too tight. Cat trainers are much more comfortable.

are you the only one wearing cat trainers ?
Nope, several other delivery staff in the office wear them!
I normally give up my Cats this time of year an swap to Mag shoes. Why would you want wet feet ? blisters

I swap to CAT boots if the weather is really wet, but I find the CAT trainers better for the majority of the time as they are lighter. Those Magnums are like platform shoes, simply awful!!
I also don't see why management need to tell us what uniform we can or can't wear
