Summer Holiday booked for me

So I've checked my Summer leave RM have chosen for me (Cheers!).....

I've got a week off at the start of March, then 2 weeks off back to back from mid-April. And a week off in October.

I've only been here for 3 months but they can shove it if they think I'm using all my summer leave in march/april.

What's the best route to go down from here? Go see the Rep etc?

Try and swap with someone. Our office - for example. The summer are allocated in 3 week blocks and you moe down 3 weeks every year. Not sure how it works in your office, but your only option might be to swap with someone.

i was in a big office when i first joined and leave was allocated on a rotation basis and you just had to swap around for something that would suit ,, i've been in a smaller office for about 15 years and we are still on a rotation ,, but this is to pick our holidays ,, we do our first pick for 2 weeks then a second round of picks for another 2 weeks then you get to pick your remaining weeks or days ,, i think this only happens in small offices though

Why have they chosen it for you? Did you not want to choose the weeks yourself and hand the sheet back? Some guys do that in our office can't be bothered putting their holidays in then when the DOM allocates them the moaning starts...

I want the end of March up until mid April as my sister is getting married abroad. The holidays booked and I've put in a special request but god knows when I'm going to hear if I can have it or not. It wouldn't surprise me if I end up not going and losing my money.

Royal Mail will honour any pre-booked holidays you have during your first year of service.
You do have pre-booked holidays don't you?

Not in many it isn't. No consultation, favorites always getting the best picks, people who work to rule getting the worst - you don't get that many places.
