How many miles has your van done???

94.000+ mine has done and counting, total shed, in the garage at least once a month, triggers broom comes to mind. Was I dreaming or did royal mail used to get shut of them when they had done 40k them were the days.

There is a 600 that comes to our office every afternoon to do a dispatch and at the last time of asking it had 740,000 miles on the clock.Our CDV van is a 10 plate and it has done 17,000

same here,all vans high mileage and being patched up and sent back from workshops,who I guess are run off there poor feet! I did raise this point in the comic courier a while ago,and got some reply from some head of fleet bloke who never answered my question on the poor state of the fleet,and how and who gets new vans.saving money at our expense again?like others have said if its not fit to drive we simply don't take it out,but oh what a struggle it is at times to argue the point.i hear theres a big push to get the vans back up to speck?mine has been done a bit and tidied up,but they still didn't push the dent out that they did at workshops? and cant even put a new royal mail sticker on the side door that they replaced from another van,mmmmm

i worked in the po from 1980 to 1990...the EA vans we had then done around 150, 000 miles, we had leyland Itals they done around 100,000 before scrappage,,,by god could they move....not unusual to do 70mph on the motorway and still plents of guts in them

Ours is a 59 plate and has done 8,500 miles. We average 10 miles per day.
