Im paying CSA

Post by GavinC85 »

just want to get this right

What is the weekly gross income of the parent paying child maintenance?
This is income before tax and National Insurance but after pension contributions.

I'm full time and on my payslip it says gross pay is 372.10 but does that take into consideration what i pay into my pension? or do i have to deduct that?

I think the CSA website might be a good place to start and then fathersforjustice or general web search for sites and forums.

I think your whole salary will be taken into consideration - including regular bonuses. It might be in the region of 15% of your wage for one child and it is a sliding scale afterwards with more children. They might even reduce payment based on whether you have other children, caring for someone or your partners' income.

* I am not sure precisely but I think the CSA has an online tool or calculator or something. edit (added) https://www.gov.uk/calculate-your-child-maintenance" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

** Or you can trawl through some of Jeremy Kyle's shows (joke); some of the wasters on there refuses to even pay £5.00 from their benefit... :oops:

*** The best thing is to arrange with your ex and make private payments but that depends, of course.

Its 15% of your net wages for 1 child 20 % for 2 and they will need to see your last 6 weeks payslips , plus the csa take £1 "handling" charge

Plus they are bastards.

Better to pay direct if you can via standing order.

I pay £48 a week for what it's worth

Direct
