We had indoor changes implemented today. At best it should have been organised chaos.
However there was a distinct lack of organisation. IPS opals had no splits detailed so missorts increased.
The porters didn't know what was expected of them. The space between the backs of the Ips was too narrow creating bottleneck issues. Those on prep didn't know what was happening.
This was all down to the lack of communication/training(where needed) a day or two before.
Just a quick brief would have reduced the amount of confusion that existed.
Its all supposed to be saving time so we were out on time. But alot were out later by between 30-45 mins.
All in the name of efficiency. Well I'm still waiting to see yet another Royal Mail developed change work.

We at Dunstable have been doing this for two months now not working at all well.
