Surely if stamped mail is dropping as fast as RM's spin says it is then delivering the paltry amount on time shouldnt be a problem?
Shareholders must be fuming.

So that is up to them. We are under that obligation and the union im sure want us to continue to be..let's not say why can't we be like TNT let's say they should be more like us.

The targets are there to be hit regardless of wether you or i think the items should be there next day.
Customer pays for service, service expected.
Interestingly i had to wait 10 days for a 1st class important legal letter recently..
I was a bit pissed off tbh.

If it had a date stamp check it because it's highly unlikely the delay was Royal Mails fault.
Im constantly trying to defend ourselves while on delivery explaining to recipitents that the firm probably hasnt even sent the letter yet and they always blame posties first...but when your the one waiting you can understand their frustrationpostality wrote:Was post marked 4th delivered 14th 10 daysdvbuk55 wrote:postality wrote:But the threat of fines is real, and cash is king in a privately owned business.

RM will agree a new set of targets with OFCOM - "bringing the regulatory requirements into line with today's customers' needs" or something
The simple answer is NO.postality wrote:RM threatend with fines from ofcom the other day, will this and threat of IA put the CWU in a better position to get a decent deal.
