willful delay

Post by postoffice1 »

can managers delay mail because of staff shortages and budget restrictions because it is happening in our office on a daily basis the packets are piling up and it is not even Christmas pressure yet.in over 30 years of working for the post office I feel embarrassed when telling my customer's sorry I have not got your packet even though you have been told by amazon you will get it on the day

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

This is happening more often. They have to report the failures.

They can for 'operational requirements'.
But it is only a stop gap, not permanent, solution.
And, they should have made their own bosses aware of the situation (that not all mail is out for delivery).
And resolve the situation ASAP.

In my office, parcels have been delayed for 7 or 8 weeks at times. :no no
