POST BEING LEFT FOR FLOATERS

I am a floater and today i covered p+L rounds for guys day off when we came in there were 3 bundles of mail for blocks of flats with no access on them plus about 6 other letters just left and 3 packets throw back in the sacks we saw this the previous day add to that we finished at 220 on thu they finished at 1330! DOM HAS TOLD THEM ABOUT LEAVING MAIL BUT IT STILL HAPPENS. why shd we deliver the items they keep leaving,they always finish early and do not sort because the are big preps about 700 on each,, so they get in 30 mins early and finish about 1-2 hrs early every day, we do job properly and get back on time as we start on time also customers always complain they make mistakes on del, they have had loads of complaints yet they stay on same walks and bring back mail, we are fed up with this is this not willfull delay and why is dom not doing anything as we always get in flats :and and the 1 block they brought back has a code 2 get in!! can i/shd we take this further? as it seems dom only happy because they do not claim ot

I have the opposite problem. I am a duty holder and the floaters covering me always bring back flats "time locked" and leave all sorts of crap from D2Ds to packets and Killoffs. Guess it's just pot luck on who you work with and I guess we both work with tossers!

what i would suggest, and its the same with any time mail is left from the day before for whatever reason, is if you suspect the dom is not reporting it, then i would strong suggest sending an email to moya to advise that a walk has part failed and that it was not being recorded, managers can get the sack for not reporting failed mail, he needs to precisely count the first and second class and mailsort that failed, so if you dont think he has counted it report that too

would the dom know that u have reported this and how would he then be with u if u have ineffect reported him

Me and my P&L partner have no complaints - we have great day off cover who leave us no crap and we make sure everything is up to date for them

Make your Dom aware of it first thing in the morning, throw it in with today's mail. If you go over either cut off leaving loops for the next day or book ot making sure you inform the Dom before you pull out.
