What happens if at the end of the day a complete round is left in the office because managers cannot clear it?

They have to report it as a failure and explain why. If they don't and they are discovered to have done so by some means, they'll be for the high jump.

mmmmm that's a tricky 1.i have my thoughts,but I guess not a lot will be done about it,and it will go out tomorrow at the expense of another round,but who knows how it will be dealt with,and may well just be covered up as being completed,as a failed delivery will create all manner of paper work and questions etc etc

If a walk has failed and you believe its not being reported, i would strong suggest sending an email to moya to advise that a walk failed and that it was not being recorded, managers can get the sack for not reporting failed mail, he needs to precisely count the first and second class and mailsort that failed, so if you dont think he has counted it report that too
