No confidence in CWU negotiating team
I vote for a no confidence in the CWU negotiating team and the executive.
Lack of communication and never ending extensions is just breeding discontent with us members.
Next chance we get we should vote this bunch out. Get the rubbish cleaned up and have folk in who'll communicate, fight our corner, and actually enforce the agreements they negotiate.
This lot appear to be RM management clones. Wouldn't surprise me if they were in RM's back pocket.

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

This is our futures on the line and they are telling us nothing.
What's been achieved in the last week ?
What are the sticking points ?
What warrants another weeks delay ?
Looking like a shafting on the way dressed up as"the deal of the century" (again

Personally, I shall sit back and wait until we actually see the end result, what ever that maybe!

Re: No confidence in CWU negotiating team
We've only had a few, tiny, third-hand glimpses of negotiations. I mean, I'm grateful for every tidbit we get on this site but I'm no way in any position to judge how good our team is.

Re: No confidence in CWU negotiating team
In term of bullying.Yes there is this "command and control" style management. Do the business recognise this? No is the simple answer. We have the evidence. However this will take some time to convince them. Remember the chief executive believed,( during a reps forum), that bullying was "mainly OPG Vs OPG. That's how much they are in touch with what really happens in delivery offices.
I have no problem striking, but I would rather we get on the negotiating table then not. That was always the problem in past disputes. No negotiation. Well we have them there. I believe the tools for work, (IWT etc) have been abused by management who do not understand them nor understand delivery methods, nor national agreements. What comes out of that is bullying,(selectively too).
There is a lot of "choice words" being used in the negotiations from what I am told. Our negotiators at them! One word used rhymes with "punt!". I want the right agreement that stops bullying and stops the command and control style management. What I do not want is some sort of jointly diluted statement on "tools" and "traffic management". The business needs to recognise that their management are not up to the job. Rightly or wrongly RM is now a private company, and to be honest is badly administered and has been for several years now. I would rather this situation be sorted however long it takes.

I agree much as it pains me how long it has taken but before long the talking will stop if it has not already from Royalmails side then action should be more robust not just higgledy-piggledy one day strikes lets get them back on terms of our wavelength!drb wrote:In term of bullying.Yes there is this "command and control" style management.
