Road temperatures are expected to widely fall below freezing Wednesday evening and overnight. This could lead to icy stretches on untreated roads especially where showers have fallen during Wednesday. Isolated showers are expected to continue in in northern and eastern areas, these wintry above 200-300 metres.

The public should be aware of the potential for icy surfaces and some minor travel disruption.

Showers will become more isolated during Wednesday night, but some will continue in areas exposed to the north to northeasterly winds, these falling as sleet or snow above 200-300 metres. However, where roads remain wet, ice will be the main hazard as temperatures fall below freezing.
