- and it's through "idiots" like that that Royal Mail have such a low tolerance of sick absence that some with three genuine absences find themselves out of a job.

But, if your manager says, theres a Dog Warning listed in the Walk Log, and there isnt....

Pictures of this lack of detail tell a thousand words.

That certainly depends on the context of the incident.

No one saw, it was really a few seconds and in a low risk area - Probably not, unless there is a pattern of previous incidents.

It was nicked during those few seconds - certainly sacking is a possibility for failure to safeguard.

It was more than a few seconds and was seen by the IB or a manager and reported - yes

It will all be down to the circumstances of the case, the judgement of the manager and if dismissal is a reasonable outcome in that particular case.
