Wasn't at work today so didn't now that god it's taking ages to sort bet they had there rise

Well this the place to be(website) cos not a word came from our bosses except the usual "mail still to sort ". screens are locked away in the conference rooms , only to be abused when we go out. No communication within rm , very poor.

heard a rumour today that the sticking point in delivery is about banking hours when you go over your time. instead of overtime you bank your hours and take it as leave

Taking it as leave is all very well provided the time is recorded and has a % added which corresponds to the premium at which ED is paid. My experience of this type of system is that invariably the employee loses out due in part to the fact that it is often nigh on impossible to book the owed leave and you need to build up 4 or 8 hours to accrue a half or full day.

Far better to book ED ... paid the following week all done and dusted with less room for error. If employees want extra leave they can purchase it.

Find it hard to believe there's any truth in this as it's hard enough to book time off as it is

Doubt it, in my experience the people who come in early do it to finish early, they don't go over their time

rm will definetly be trying to get longs and shorts because they have this stupid idea that we finish early mon-tue-sat. granted tuesdays are very quiet but saturdays are now one of the shittest days going. mailsort saturday i call them cos all we deliver is shite mail mainly for other companies

Well the powers that be need to be looking at 'attended' and not 'paid for hours' - they aren't that thick
