Had to drive round 43 parcels that would not find in pouches!
What happened to posties only take parcels up to shoe box size.

When it works, on quiet/normal days, its ok.
When its busy it simply does not. we couldn't even fit all the parcels in the van, had them on my lap!
Im happy to work over my time as I could do with the extra money as im only part time, but it annoys me when your boss questions 'what took you so long!?'
Today however many people worked a couple of hours over the normal finish time so I think he got the jist.

This is what RM have always wanted. This way people only get paid extra when it's heavy and no one finishes early when it's not.

Work your hours only. Cut off and bring it back if there is too much.
It annoys me that people moan about how big their deliveries are and how much mail they have and these same people are the ones that come in an hour early and are ready to go out long before anyone else and still continue to moan about things.
Simple thing is, as I and others have said:
WORK YOUR HOURS ONLY.
DO NOT GO OVER YOUR TIME.
TELL THEM YOU WILL BE CUTTING OFF, AND HAVE A WITNESS THERE WHEN YOU DO SO.
You can only do so much in a day, as was proven in our office. There were four Yorks half full of pouches and packets from various deliveries and also some mail still pouched up on some frames as well. I bet the managers make them set the lot back in tomorrow and take it out with tomorrows mail.
I'd refuse if it was me, or if I had to set it in again just take it out and bring it back again, after telling them I'll be cutting off that is.

Over time is good if you get it paid and on time as to his reference to your performance "but it annoys me when your boss questions 'what took you so long!?' he could always do it himself as fast or slow as he/she wants more of the Bonus culture that needs eradicating!

and it is new way of absorbing van drivers duty and added more pressure to all delivery postperson. We can't do everything.
