What if the Royal Mail started a joint venture company with TNT to satisfy the delivery aspect of the USO.
A newly privatised Royal Mail could provide the finance and TNT the management experience to organise Moya's preferred delivery model.
This would free up a lot of property assets as the new joint venture would relocate to rented business park units.
The business would work financially as TNT own some of the regular national door to door contracts we don't and it would have all the other traffic.
Ratchet up the B&H and gradually you would reduce the labour cost whilst maintaining traffic and revenue.
Crucially the Royal Mail share price would rocket as it would be viewed as a growth stock.
Parcels and property.
No wonder they can't be bothered to negotiate on delivery.

After the first week, they are giving 30% more work to us !!!
They are an unmitigated disaster from what we have seen - staff leaving in droves, mail delivered to wrong addresses - staff being sent out with sequenced mail ... for the wrong routes !!! ... and today 20 % of my deliveries were TNT that had been fed back into RM's system for redelivery because TNT couldn't (or wouldn't) cope. Mail is left hanging out of letterboxes orscrawled on with "not my round" or "not found" and sent back to RM for redelivery.
I hope our revenue people are charging them for all this work that they have "taken off us"
BTW - you can't take 30% off a London posties workload - he'd only be working two hours a day

I gave 30% of my work back to the manager on Friday and still had to claim an hour....where is this London place anyway...any jobs going?
